Every year, our students make a lot of games. Many of which get published online for the world to see, play and share! In this article you can find an overview of all the places where you can find those student projects.

Making games is best taught by, well making games. That's why from the very start of the study programme, students will be creating actual, playable games. To learn more about the development cycle from beginning till end, we urge our students to upload them online for feedback and community interaction. For that reason we have a few places online where you can check out our student games.

First and second year:

These projects have an average development cycle of about 8 weeks. Smaller in scope and scale, but providing a lot of experience to the students. The best environment to get these shared with players online is itch.io. Students get feedback from the community to fix bugs and improve the overall game. But also how to process this feedback and communicate with the players in a professional way. You can play and see the games for yourselves, here.

Third year

One game, one full academic year; that's what our third year students do. Starting from pre-production in the first block (10 weeks), ramping up to full production and ending with publishing the game online - and perhaps process some community feedback during the early access / beta stage. All these games get published on Steam, and are also 100% free to play. Curious to see what they have made in the past? You can check it out here

Below are some trailers of third year games made during academic year 2020-2021.
