From Wednesday April 19 to Friday April 21 2023 Breda University of Applied Sciences will host the Everything Procedural Conference for a variety of lectures, talks, demonstrations and masterclasses in the field of procedural content generation for games.

We are two months from EPC2023 and it is now the time to reveal our initial line-up of speakers and start the ticket sale.


Parametric Architecture
Speaker - José Pareja Gomez

José Pareja is an Associate (VR Developer) at Zaha Hadid Architects. He will talk about the way the firm uses procedural methods and parametric design to create complex and dynamic designs with greater flexibility and efficiency. José will showcase the work of the ZHVR Group, immersive technologies research group within ZHA, as well as research carried out in the topics of Metaverse and Mixed Reality technologies.

Houdini In Returnal 
Speaker - Kimmo Ala-Ojala

Kimmo Ala-Ojala is a Lead Technical Artist at Housemark. Returnal is built out of separate rooms and each time the player starts a cycle, the rooms are randomly connected. This recuired Housemark to make a lot of varied rooms. Therfore, they decided to heavily automate the art content creation process. Kimmo will go through their Houdini pipeline and show how they built the worlds in Returnal.
