Creating Procedural Rice Fields in Houdini & Unreal Engine 5

During the episode, Valentina will present a selection of her impressive projects created with Houdini. Among these is her Procedural Rice Fields tool, previously showcased at the EPC conference in the talk Creating Procedural Rice Fields in Houdini & Unreal Engine 5. In this project, Valentina explains how she leveraged terrain workflows and Unreal Engine’s scriptable tools to create a user-friendly system for generating both rice terraces and flat rice fields.

Valentina will also discuss her Procedural Sun project, work completed for a defence contract, and her wider experiences as a tech art student at BUas using Houdini in game development workflows. The discussion promises to offer an insightful look into the technical and creative process behind her projects, as well as her journey as a young artist navigating the world of procedural content creation.

This appearance highlights Valentina’s growing presence in the Houdini community and provides an exciting opportunity to learn from her practical experience in both academic and professional contexts. Fans of procedural art, game development, and Houdini enthusiasts alike won’t want to miss this episode.
